Amy Solomon, mother Barbara Weiss and sister Allyson Weiss have been whipping up hundreds of desserts with Just One Bite, a business they launched three years ago.

"It's so nice because you can pick up where the other one leaves off," Solomon told Daily Voice. "You totally get each other. We are a very close-knit family, so we are really good about helping each other out."

Solomon used to work in the TV industry, but the long hours left her without much time to see her son. So she turned to her sister and mom.

The trio operate from a commercial kitchen in Hawthorne and specialize in one-bite smaller cookies. This allows people to try a greater variety of different flavors.

Allyson Weiss said her grandmother greatly influenced the baking in the family: She always said a meal wasn't complete without something sweet.

"It's the idea of having that legacy live on," she said. "It's a really nice thing to do. It's something we love and it makes people happy."

The cookies themselves span a variety of flavors and types, including brownie bites and desserts on pops.

"It's kind of a dream come true for me," she told Daily Voice. "We've always been a very close family so it just makes it one step more."
