SADDLE BROOK, N. J. -- A new Kumon tutoring franchise recently opened in Saddle Brook, increasing the presence of the learning centers in Bergen County, company officials said.
The newest math and reading center is at 446D Market St., and brings the number to 21 centers in Bergen County and 48 in Northern New Jersey, officials said. The program offers learning programs for children in preschool through high school.
“Bergen County is the most populous county in New Jersey and because of that we continue to see a high demand for additional Kumon learning centers in the area,” said Larry Lambert, vice president of franchise recruitment at Kumon North America. “Saddle Brook is an ideal location for Kumon’s expansion and we are excited to enhance the lives of children with our proven successful method.”
In Bergen County, enrollment is up to 3,248, which is a 95 percent increase in the last 10 years. The first center opened in 1991.
