ELMWOOD, N.J. — A licensed Realtor with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and experience as a paralegal and mortgage broker is now in charge of a new Realty Executives office in Elmwood Park.
Jessica Rojas will lead the new office on Route 46.
Rojas became a licensed real estate agent in 2009 as a sales associate in Clifton. In her first year, she was named Rookie of the Year. She is licensed as a broker sales associate in New Jersey and is a certified distressed property expert.
Prior to her real estate career, Rojas worked for approximately 10 years as a paralegal specializing in real estate, landlord/tenant matters, bankruptcy, estates, wills and trusts. She then obtained her mortgage solicitor's license and managed a mortgage branch office for three years.
Rojas has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Seton Hall University. Most recently, she was the branch office manager for Coldwell Banker in Morris Plains. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
A believer in giving back, she volunteers feeding the homeless in a lunch bag project, as well as with Big Brother Big Sister, Special Olympics New Jersey, the Boarder Baby Program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Adopt-A-Highway, Veterans Hospitals and walks to support breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease research.
She also is a member of Parent's of Autistic Children, Putting the Pieces Together (providing services for children with Autism) and the United Puerto Rican Council (a local nonprofit organization).
