Once she completely disinfected and decontaminated her house, the ailments disappeared, and Cirillo finally had an answer: Mold.
After taking a few classes, she founded Pathogend of New Jersey with business partner Toni Gallira, who has a decade of experience in the field.
The pair maintain that Pathogend isn't your average cleaning company.
"Most people get us confused with a cleaning service but we are a biodecontamination/disinfection company," Cirillo said.
"Cleaning services concentrate on appearance, we concentrate on eliminating disease-causing pathogens."

Cirillo and Gallira disinfect the entire room.
"Manual cleaning can't accomplish what we do," Cirillo explained. "A cleaning service has a very different mission, we compliment and enhance what they do.
"We are in the infection control industry."
Pathogend of New Jersey works with businesses, property managers and home owners, offering a wide range of whole space disinfection services.

"We have the technology and the power to make a difference, and slowly our society is recognizing the need for change."
