Elmwood Park Gets Brassy For Holiday Concert

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- The Elmwood Park Centennial Committee will present a musical concert, “Holiday Brasstacular,” on Saturday, Dec. 12.

The public is invited to the 7 p.m. performance in the Elmwood Park Memorial High School Auditorium on River Drive.

Playing will be the renowned Imperial Brass, a 25-piece professional ensemble comprised of New Jersey musicians. They will present seasonal music of all brass British instrumentation.

Their repertoire includes a wide range of styles: brass band classics, contemporary works, classical arrangements, music from Broadway, and pop. The award-winning group has performed throughout the greater metropolitan area with many guest artists from the New York Philharmonic and the Halle Orchestra.

This is the first time Imperial Brass will be appearing in this area.

A reception and light refreshments will follow the concert.

Tickets are $20 per person, $15 for students, and may be purchased by contacting ep100.concert@gmail.com or the Mayor’s Office at (201) 796-1833. All proceeds will benefit the Elmwood Park 100th anniversary celebration in 2016.
