On Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1:15 p.m., the borough will hold a dedication ceremony to change the name of Boulevard to Richard A. Mola Boulevard.

Before the dedication, a mass will be held at St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church at noon. And immediately following the dedication, a reception will take place at the borough’s senior citizen center. The public is invited to attend the three events.

Mola passed away in October at the age of 80. At the time of his death, he had served for 45 years as Mayor of Elmwood Park. One of the nation’s longest serving mayors, Mola had won 12 straight four-year terms.
