Hackensack Man Opens Elmwood Park Self Defense Studio

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- The community is invited to a full day of free activities and classes Saturday, Oct. 15 at The Art of Self Defense in Elmwood Park.

Founder and owner Mike Elayan of Hackensack is holding a ribbon cutting and other fun from 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be face painting, balloon characters, raffles, prizes, food and other refreshments.

Free classes are also scheduled that day:

Yoga at 11:15 a.m.
Martial Art and Self Defense at noon
Fitness at 1 p.m.

People who sign up at the ribbon cutting get no Enrollment Fees. Enrollees that day also get a Free Kids or T-shirt and 25 percent off first payment on a 6-month or 1-year membership.
