SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Visions Federal Credit Union is kicking off a new program to help fund educational projects this week, and teachers can begin submitting proposals this Friday.
"Our teachers put so much time and energy into the classroom," Visions Assistant VP of Marketing Mandy DeHate said. "Many also put their own money into the classroom.
"We created Visions Loves Teachers to recognize their dedication and improve educational opportunities for youth in the communities we serve as well," she added.
Elementary, middle and high school educators who teach in Bergen County are invited to submit ideas for educational projects not covered by their school budgets. Visions has dedicated a minimum of $10,000 to the program and will select one or more projects to fully fund.
Visit the Visions Loves Teachers website to learn more, apply or share the program with a teacher in your life.
The deadline for submissions is Dec. 31.
UPDATED: This article has been updated, since EPSN analyst Jay Williams, who had originally been scheduled to appear, had to postpone his visit due to illness.
