About 18 months ago, the dog was first spotted with a pack of coyotes near Kingston, New York, and had been constantly sighted playing with the pack ever since, thedodo.com reports.

Nicole Asher, founder of Buddha Dog Rescue & Recovery, decided to set up a feeding station monitored by a trail camera, then a trap to catch the pup, the story says.

Asher caught the dog, named him Wiley, and brought him to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) to receive medical care, the story says.

Wiley is a loving 2-year-old dog and will soon be available for adoption, the article says.
