Passaic County Fair Returns With Rides, Beer Tent, Petting Zoo

WOODLAND PARK, N.J. – For four days, Garrett Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park will be home to amusement rides, funnel cake and a beer garden.

The annual Passaic County Fair will take place at the park from Thursday, August 17, through Sunday, August 20.

“We are expecting close to 20,000 visitors to the Fair this year,” said Passaic County Freeholder TJ Best.

“Every year the Passaic County Fair is growing with bigger and better entertainment offerings for residents,” said Freeholder Director Sandi Lazzara.

This year’s festivities include fireworks on Friday and Saturday, as well as rides, a 4-H tent, beer garden, chess tournament and a petting zoo. On Thursday night, the Harlem Wizards will play a basketball game against members of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department and Passaic County Technical Institute athletes.

The fair will be open from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m on Thursday and Friday, and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Thursday, August 17, is “Family Night” with a special price of $20 for unlimited amusement rides.
