Holly was found by college students at Widener University in Chester, P.A. They notified authorities but no one had reported her missing, rescue officials said.

The couple reached out to Good Karma, who agreed to help and take Holly in.

"They wanted to foster her but after looking at the pictures they sent of her, we had our suspicions that she was pregnant," founder Lisa Romano Adamek said.

A visit to the vet the next day confirmed Holly's pregnancy, and was expected to deliver within the next few weeks.

Holly came to North Jersey where she delivered the eight puppies -- four girls and four boys -- on Jan. 3:

The puppies have been split up into foster homes because they aren’t nursing anymore.

The rescue held its own Puppy Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday for the pups.

Applications are being accepted next month.
