SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- The Saddle Brook Volunteer Fire Department trains in a wide variety of situations, and training on Tuesday, April 19 included simulated collapsed basement stairs.

The firefighters of Engine Company No. 1 trained with those of Hook and Ladder Company 1 and Engine Company No. 2. Another scenario included lowering people from a roof.
