First, residents should remove snow and ice from their sidewalks within 12 hours of daylight after snowfall. Also, residents should not simply push snow into the street.

Additionally, fire hydrants should be cleared within 5 feet of all directions so they can be safely used in the event of an emergency.

If the accumulation of snow covers a street or highway, then an emergency will ensue during the fall of snow and for a subsequent period of 24 hours that supersedes all parking ordinances.

Lastly, residents should not be park a vehicle on the roadway for 48 consecutive hours. The vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense.
