Water service will not be interrupted but flushing could temporarily discolor tap water, a town-wide notice says. The discoloration will not affect the water quality.

Residents should check their water if using the dishwasher or washing machine while the work is in progress, the notice says. If the water is discolored, run the tap water until it clears, and then use the appliances.

The flushing schedule is as follows:

Sunday, April 24: South Broadway South, From Fair Lawn Parkway East to Saddle River Road, including Jamros Terrace, Kuhn Drive, Bell Avenue, Birk Street and Riverview.

Monday, April 25: From Wilson Street South to Colonial Avenue, From Fair Lawn Parkway West to North Midland Avenue.

Tuesday, April 26: From Pehle Avenue South to Market Street, From Saddle River Road West to Midland Avenue.

Wednesday, April 27: From Market Street South, Outwater Lane from VFW Drive West to Midland Avenue.
