SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — Saddle Brook residents can expect buttery and salty treats at future community events thanks to a donated popcorn maker.
Spencer Savings Bank donated the machine to the township after using one at many of its own events. Branch Manager Betty Shingelo said people always seem to like it.
"The bank is very active in partiipating in community events and we were very happy to donate to the township of Saddle Brook," Shingelo said.
The popcorn maker will be in action at Saturday's Trunk or Treat at Long School Parking lot. It will also be used at the annual street fair, township picnic and Christmas party, among other affairs.
Council President Florence Mazzer said it is an "awesome" addition to Saddle Brook.
"Anything we ever get is appreciated," Mazzer told Daily Voice. "This is adorable."
