"It was an honor and a privilege to swear in new officers of the Saddle Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps. last night at their 2016 installation dinner. Township Council members were in attendance as well to show their appreciation and support for our ambulance members and their families.

"The members deserve praise for their volunteer service in responding to emergency medical calls for our township and for providing mutual aid for surrounding communities. They exemplify what it means to be community caretakers in that they give so much of themselves for the good of others without asking for anything in return.

"Besides the installation of line and executive officers, some ambulance members received length of service certificates. Several crew members and two Saddle Brook police officers were given life-saving awards for providing Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to a motorist who collapsed on Saddle River Road in March of 2015."
