SUICIDE:  Two weeks after he was divorced from television medical personality Jennifer Lee Ashton, noted thoracic surgeon Robert C. Ashton, Jr. of Fort Lee jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge on Saturday, sources told Daily Voice.

TEANECK ROWING COACH: Jenny Santos, who fell to her death off the World Trade Center Oculus Saturday, was an assistant coach at the Teaneck-based Bergen County Rowing Academy (BCRA), Eyewitness News reported.

PET RESQ: The owner of a Tenafly pet rescue operation has been quietly buying puppies from a puppy store owner from Emerson and then selling them for profit, a group of advocates alleges.

KITCHEN BURGLARY:  Montvale police arrested a burglar -- as well as two relatives who they said tried to prevent it -- moments after a resident came home to find him stuffing some of her belongings into a bag in the kitchen Monday morning.

STRONG IS THE NEW SEXY: Tara Shoebridge-Ramos of Lyndhurst makes CrossFit look easy. The 27-year-old breezes through burpees and throws hundreds of pounds around like confetti. And to Ramos, that's pretty crazy, especially considering where she was six years ago: rock bottom of anorexia.
