ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Anna “Kay” Pulzone, 89, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Monday, Sept. 19.
She was born and raised in Louisville, Ken.; she resided in Elmwood Park for more than 40 years before moving to Hillsborough. She was a former parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. An involved member of her community, she served as a councilwoman and member of the planning board of Elmwood Park, served as the director of the Bergen County Community Development Division and the confidential aid to Executive Freeholder Richard Mola.
Prior to retiring, she was the county adjuster with the County of Bergen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Pulzone.
She is survived by her children, Katherine Pulzone, Joseph Pulzone and wife Robyn (McKeown); grandchildren, Loree, Joseph, Marlon, Caitlyn and Kelsey; and great-grandchildren, Sofia, Joseph and Ayden.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories in Washington Township.
