Franklin W. Hess, 92, Saddle Brook Resident

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Franklin W. Hess, of Saddle Brook, died on Monday, Jan. 2. He was 92.

Born in New York City, Hess was a Navy veteran of World War II. Before he retired, he worked at Otis Elevator Co. in New York City and later in Fairfield.

He was also active with the Boy Scouts in Saddle Brook. 

Hess is survived by his children, Ken Hess and his wife Robin Jess, Susan Paul, and James Miller; siblings Robert Hess and Joan Twomey; grandchildren Bryan and his wife Carolyn Paul, Allison Paul, and Adam Hess.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Westervelt) Hess, and his parents, Franklin and Edna Hess.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, at Costa Memorial Home, 170 Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Debbie Rundecker officiating. Interment will follow, at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.
