SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Harry Pappas, of Saddle Brook, died Friday, Aug. 26. He was 81.
Before retiring, he was the owner of the Saddle Brook Diner. He was a member of St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Paramus.
He was the husband of Konstantina Pappas (nee Grias); father of Chris Pappas, Effie Pappas-Staunton and her husband Timothy and Thomas Pappas and his wife Peggy; grandfather of Maria Eleftheriadis, Troy Pappas, Breanna Pappas, Thomas Joseph Pappas and Lexi Pappas; and brother of Gus Pappas, Nick Pappas, the late Socrates Pappas and the late Sam Pappas.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. Funeral service will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church in Paramus. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus
