Helen 'Eleanor' Maddalena, 95, Elmwood Park Resident

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Helen "Eleanor" (Cavaliero) Maddalena, of Elmwood Park, died on Monday, Feb. 6. She was 95.

Born in New York, Maddalena lived most of her life in Lodi and Elmwood Park. Before she retired, she worked for Onyx Cleaners, in Lodi, for over 30 years.

She was a member of St. Leo's Roman Catholic Church, AARP and Lodi Senior Citizens.

Maddalena is survived by her daughter, Eleanor DiCrosta and her husband Rudy; granddaughter Jessica Taylor and her fiancé Damian Klemer; grandson Michael DiCrosta, all of Elmwood Park; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Michael Gentilello and Philip Maddalena, and her siblings, Martin and Frank Cavaliero, and Jennie Gazzani, Josephine Manzo, Louise Manto and Teresa Barilli.  

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 Main St., in Lodi. Services are Saturday at 8:30 a.m., with a funeral mass at St. Leo's Church, in Elmwood Park. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Lodi.
