SADDLE BROOK, N.J -- Joseph Marasca, 94, of Saddle Brook, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
Born and raised in New York City, he resided in Saddle Brook for 48 years.
He proudly served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Marasca spent his time reading, sketching and laughing with family and friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with family, who he loved immensely, especially his grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his love of his vegetable garden and simply enjoying his home life after retirement. Prior to retiring, he was a window display creator with Wine and Liquor Distillery in New York for many years.
He was the husband of the late Gloria (Colotti) Marasca; father of Gina Cobianchi and husband David; grandfather of Dean and Gianna; and brother of Catherine Marasca. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday with military honors at 7:30 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
