SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Lucille Scheri (Ritzer) Smith, a Boonton resident and formerly of Jersey City and Saddle Brook, died Monday, Jan. 11. She was 95.
Smith was a founding member of the Saddle Brook Senior Citizens group, a former member of the Republican Club of Saddle Brook and a member of the First Reformed Church of Saddle Brook.
She is survived by son John Scheri of Oak Ridge; grandchildren John Scheri, Colleen Faller, Dr. Randall Scheri, Kathleen Murcer and Dr. Tad Scheri; and great-grandchildren Nicole, Thomas, Christopher, Ryan, Jessica, Walter, Erin, Elliott and Laura.
Smith was predeceased by husbands Donald Smith and Carmine Scheri; and daughter Carmela Gerardi.
Visiting hours will be from from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at the funeral home. Entombment will be at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
