Born in Passaic, she’s been a resident of Elmwood Park most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1951 and received her baccalaureate degree from Seton Hall University in 1956. She spent her nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the operating room as a nurse, educator and supervisor. After retiring in 1991 she continued to fulfill her love for the O.R. as an adjunct professor at Bergen Community College in the O.R. Technician Training Program.
She is survived by her children, David, his wife Gina and Maribeth Kipp Mc Grover, her husband Michael; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She is predeceased by her husband, Harry.
Visiting will be on Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home, Inc., 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. Funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 8:30 a.m. from the Funeral Mass St. Leo’s R.C. Church, Elmwood Park 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
