SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Mary Porta, a resident of Saddle Brook and formerly of Brick and Palisades Park, died Tuesday, March 29. She was 87.
Before retiring, she worked for Barbara Ann Clothing in Palisades Park as a seamstress and Merrow machine operator.
She was the mother of Jerome Porta and his wife Karen of Woodland Park, the late Vincent Porta and his wife Debbie of Woodridge, Cathy Porta and Virginia Bonnice of Saddle Brook and son John; grandmother of Christopher, Jerry, Michael and James and great-grandmother of William and Henry.
She was predeceased by her husband Carlo Porta; and son Vincent Porta.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus.
The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 10 a.m. service and entombment at the Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
