Nicholas Enea, 69, of Elmwood Park

ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Nicholas Enea, of Elmwood Park and Garfield, died on Jan. 5. He was 69.

Born in Passaic, he was raised in Lodi for 18 years living in Garfield 40 years and Elmwood Park the past 11 years. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam and is decorated with the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service and Campaign medals, the Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He worked for 52 years as a sales representative for truck parts and services for Stewart and Stevenson in Lodi. He was a member of the Saddle Brook VFW, and he volunteered many years with the Fast Pitch Girls Softball League managing the NJ Outlaws Softball Team. 

He is survived by his wife Kathleen and brother Salvatore.

He is predeceased by his parents, Virginia and Salvatore J. Enea. 

Visiting is Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with an 8:30 p.m. chapel service at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield. Private cremation to follow. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Heart Association.
