SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Rich Barrera, 53, of Saddle Brook, formerly of South Hackensack, died Sept. 23, 2015.
Born in Hackensack, he resided in South Hackensack for 25 years, lived in Hawaii for 10 years and then settled in Saddle Brook five years ago.
For more than 40 years he was owner/operator of Rich Painting and a member of the Painter’s Union Local 711 of Springfield.
He was predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Concetta (nee Zocco) Barrera.
He is the husband of Anna (nee Pacella) Barrera, father of U.S. Marine Corp Lance Corp. Richard Barrera, Michael Barrera and Juliana Barrera of Saddle Brook, brother of Claudia Marinello-Sterling and husband Ron of Hallandale Beach, Fla., Salvatore Barrera and wife Carmela of Little Ferry and Gia Giacchi and husband Marco of Paramus. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Santangelo Funeral Home, 300 N. Main St., Lodi. There will be a private cremation.
