ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – Steven Paul Sudol, of Elmwood Park, died Thursday, April 7. He was 34.
He was born May 15, 1981, in Garfield, to Joseph and Danuta (Lewicka) Sudol. He was raised in Garfield, and later moved with his family to Elmwood Park, where he graduated from Elmwood Park High School. He later attended Bergen Community College, where he earned his associates degree. For the past three years, he worked for Cable Vision as a field service technician in Oakland.
In addition to playing hockey for the Blades of Steel hockey league, he was an avid fisherman who would never miss an opportunity and always had his fishing pole at the ready. He also was a devoted New Jersey Devils fan.
He is survived by his father Joseph; and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Danuta, in 2007; and his sister, Julie Sudol, in 2002.
Visiting will take place from 4-9 p.m. Monday at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of St. Stanislaus Kostka, 184 Ray St., Garfield, followed by a private cremation. The family has requested no flowers.
