Zenobia Faryno, 92, Of Saddle Brook

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Zenobia Faryno, of Saddle Brook, died on December 30. She was 92.

She was born in Dluzniewo, Poland on Oct. 18, 1924 to Jan and Helena Chyczewski. She married her beloved husband Nikodem Faryno on Dec. 31, 1948 in Poland. They were married for 40 years when he passed in 1988. The family came to the United States in 1961 and settled in Garfield. She worked as a seamstress for various textile companies retiring at the age of 62. After her retirement she focused on her family, sewing, cooking, baking and gardening at her home on Marsellus in Garfield, which was a true passion for her. She had been a member of the Aria Choir, a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka and the Rosary Confraternity. Her family recalled the countless hats, blankets and caps she made and gave away throughout the years, and the fond memories and joy she received from giving them away. 

She was predeceased by her husband Nikodem Faryno in 1948 and daughter, Barbara Zawadzki in 1998.

 She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Anna (James) Graper, Yolanda (Bogdan) Salacki, Eva (Erasmo) Ferrante, Margaret (David) Wahl; nine beloved grandchildren, Amie, Jennifer, Bryan, Nicole, Jaclyn, Salvatore, Justina, Angela, Evan; 7 great grandchildren, Brittaney, Nikodem, Jared, Adrianna, McKenna, Stanislaw and Luca. 

Visiting will be Monday, 2-4 at Warner-Wozniak Funeral Home, 80 Midland Ave., Wallington. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 184 Ray St., Garfield. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Nikodem at St. Mary's Cemetery, immediately following.
