1800 Bags Of Heroin Seized From Driver, Passenger In Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. — A driver and her passenger are facing charges of possession of heroin with intent to distribute after police found more than 1800 bags in their vehicle over the weekend, Paramus police said.

McKenna Gordon, 20 of Albany, N.Y., and Larry Hunt, 45 of Jersey City, had more than 1800 bags of heroin, Paramus Police said.

Driver McKenna Gordon, 20 of Albany, N.Y., and passenger Larry Hunt, 45 of Jersey City, were arrested on Sunday and transported to Paramus Police Headquarters where they were booked and processed, according to Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

On Sunday, Paramus Police Officer Connor Nutland observed a grey, 2007 Dodge Charger, with New York registration driving upwards of 70 miles per hour on Route 17 northbound near Linwood Avenue, Ehrenberg said.

Nutland stopped the vehicle with assistance from Paramus officers Kurt Massey and Henry Ramm, according to police.

Nutland became suspicious of Gordon and Hunt, and an investigation at the scene led to the search of the vehicle, Ehrenberg said.

More than 1800 pounds of heroin weighing more than one pound with an estimated street value up to $15,000 were located in the vehicle, and the bags were marked as “Spider-web”, “Hall Pass” and “Ferrari," according to police.

Both subjects were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a bail hearing.
