Everyone got out of the Elmwood Drive home safely following the 8 a.m. "event/disturbance," Police Chief Michael Foligno said.

"There were no crimes committed and no one was injured," the chief said. "No force was used and everything was resolved in a calm manner."

He refused to provide any further details, other than to say that "a number of legally acquired and registered firearms were removed from the home by police."

Daily Voice is withholding the man's name.

"[He's] just going through difficult time and his business was suffering," a family friend said. "Plus the holidays is probably getting to him. He needs professional help."
