A Hackensack driver climbed out the passenger door after a tree fell on his vehicle around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The man was driving down Park Street when the tree fell on his sedan trapping him inside, he said.
By the time firefighters, police and EMS responded, the driver had exited the vehicle and went inside, witnesses said.
The road remained closed as of Thursday morning.
