ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office who watched a drug deal go down in Paterson seized a half-pound of cocaine and a handgun while arresting three men -- one of them from Hasbrouck Heights -- after stopping their cars in Elmwood Park, authorities said.
Investigators from the Narcotic Task Force watched as Nelson Casillas and Garvey Pyron of Paterson met with Erick Laboy of Tujunga, CA, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said Wednesday.
They later stopped Casillas in his car and Pyron and Laboy in another vehicle, he said.
Warranted searches turned up the cocaine in Casillas's car and the gun at Pyron's home, the prosecutor said.
Ordered held on $100,000 bail each in the Bergen County Jail were Pyron, a warehouse worker, and Laboy, who is unemployed, Molinelli said.
Casillas was being held on $75,000 bail.
All are charged with various drug counts.
