Heroes: Port Authority Police Revive Newark Airport Heart Attack Victim

NEWARK, N.J. -- A Passaic County man traveling alone suddenly suffered a medical episode at Newark Airport and was revived by Port Authority police.

Officers Jennifer Morrone and Matthew Vecchione found the 58-year-old Totowa victim face down and unconscious in Terminal A around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, the Port Authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.The officer began CPR and administered a defibrillator shock that restored his heartbeat, he said.

The victim was taken Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
