PAPD officers had received an alert from their colleagues in Springfield around 4 a.m. that 29-year-old Padraic Scanlon was armed and possibly suicidal, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.
They found Scanlon around 11 a.m. outside the Port Authority bus terminal, Pentangelo said.
He was carrying 6 grams of MDMA, 12 Oxycodone pills, a small amount of marijuana and no weapons, he said.
Scanlon, who has a criminal history that includes arrests for theft and DWI, was charged with drug possession and taken to Bellevue Hospital Center for observation.
