Wayne PD: Rebuffed Store Employee Put Knife To Female Co-Worker's Throat

Officers responded around 5:30 a.m. to the Circle K convenience store at the corner of Packanack Lake Road, where the woman told them that Jaber Baker, 24, of Clifton made "unsolicted advances" -- including grabbing her face, fondling her and making attempts to kiss her.

She said she "rebuffed [Baker’s] aggressive advances" and he pulled a switchblade "with the blade extended to her neck" and threatened her, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

She was injured, Martin said, adding that "the events were captured on in-store video tape surveillance."

Baker was released on a summons to appear in Superior Court in Paterson to answer charges of making terroristic threats, criminal sexual contact and weapons offenses.
