Several Bergen and Passaic county schools were ranked among the best private schools in New Jersey, according to Niche.com's latest list.

The rankings were based on rigorous analysis of data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users. 

Additional data is also collected from schools directly. 

The third best private school in New Jersey according to the list is Dwight-Englewood school, in Englewood. The second-best is Newark Academy in Livingston, and the first overall is The Lawrenceville School.
