"We are looking to increase awareness in our community on what both the SBEF is and does," Escobar told Daily Voice.
"We have had great success over the past 10+ years, but feel the potential is there for even greater opportunities for the students of Saddle Brook with increased community involvement."
The SBEF is a non-profit organization founded in 2004. Its mission is to support the educational development of the Saddle Brook community by promoting greater community involvement in educational endeavors.
Alumni, parents, and educators comprised the organization with contributions including annual scholarships, technology grants, wireless internet, smartboards, laptops, teacher grants, and more.
The foundation has several fundraisers planned for the coming months including its annual 5K, Taste of the Town and charity events at local businesses.
Any volunteers interested in assisting the Foundation to fulfill its mission are welcomed.
