More than 30 vendors of direct sale companies and homemade crafts have been invited to the fourth annual holiday shopping night for families from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Helen I. Smith School.Sixth-graders will operate the refreshment stand.

“A lot of vendors come every year because they do pretty well with it,” said Jennifer Wein, the president of the school’s PTO, who has a first grader in the school and another child who was graduated from there.

The organization is working on a number of upcoming projects, such as field and day trips and and cookies with Santa - all of which need cash to get them up and running.

The PTO event is also aimed at helping the community de-stress from long shopping lines, trips to postal carrier offices and visits to various stores.

"We try to bring the holiday shopping to Saddle Brook so that (shoppers) can get it done all in one night,” she said.
