ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. -- Parkway Lanes, in Elwood Park, was facing a new future as a self-storage business, but the plans have shifted and it will now remain a bowling alley, The Record has reported.
The prior owner of the half-century-old facility filed for bankruptcy reorganization last July, said The Record. New York City's Storage Blue withdrew its buy offer, and John Fatigati will be buying it.
Fatigati owns Jersey Lanes, in Linden. When he was in high school, Parkway Lanes was one of the venues at which he had competitively bowled, with his bowling team, according to reporting from The Record.
