Former Saddle Brook Fire Chief Recognized For Service

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Former Fire Chief Douglas Habermann was commended for his service to the Saddle Brook Volunteer Fire Department recently.

Mayor Robert White presented Habermann with an American flag that had been flown over the United States Capitol Building in his honor at the request of Congressman Bill Pascrell Jr.

The Mayor also read a letter from Pascrell to Doug commemorating his service to our community.

During the presentation, the Mayor praised Habermann for being a full time Police Sergeant and Volunteer Firefighter for the township describing him as “a person who always gives 100 percent to ensure the safety of the public.”
