SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Eileen F. (McLaughlin) Hayes, a resident of Saddle Brook, died, Thursday, March 31. She was 77.
Born and raised in New York City, she resided in Saddle Brook since 1967.
She was a faithful and active parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook and a volunteer with the Saddle Brook Board of Elections. Prior to retiring, she was a secretary with the Township of Saddle Brook Department of Public Works for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her children, William C. Hayes and Kenneth Hayes and his wife Laura; grandchildren, William, Meghan, Kenneth Jr., Edward and Christopher; and siblings Edward McLaughlin and Patricia Donnelly.
She was predeceased by her husband William T. Hayes; along with her parents Edward and Nora McLaughlin and Maureen McEnaney and Virginia Maddi.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-6 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 488 Saddle River Road, Saddle Brook. Cremation will be private.
