SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Gregory Remmes, 88, of Saddle Brook, died Tuesday, Sept. 13. He was 88.
Before retiring, he worked for the Plumbers Union Local #24 as a plumber. He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Saddle Brook, where he served as an elder, a deacon and on several committees.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served our country proudly during World War II.
He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth.
He is survived by his children, Donna L. Hawks, Carl Remmes and Matt Remmes and his wife Joyce; grandchildren, Susan, Michael, Daniel, Brian, Shannon and Lauren; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kaiden and Jacob.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
