BCC STEM Students Display Aircraft Design At Teterboro Aviation Museum TETERBORO, N.J.– The Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro will host a presentation by Bergen Community College's STEM department.Students will present an aircraft design – “UV-4 V/STOL UAV" – "with the purpose of providing cargo delivery with an internal payload," according to the school. Pleasantville School District Clerk Irene Powers Retiring PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pleasantville Board of Education has accepted the resignation of Irene Powers, who retires as district clerk and secretary to the superintendent, effective June 30. In other action at the board's meeting on May 19: The board granted tenure to speech therapists Rita Curtin (middle school) and Corin Hendricks (Bedford Road School) and to teaching assistant Lori Hirschman. The board approved a negotiated agreement between the district and the Pleasantville School Aides Association. The Board of Education Meeting is available in its entirety here.

She was 92.  She was born on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1923, in Yonkers, to Dr. William and Rose Shanley. Baker graduated from Scarborough School in Scarborough and attended Russell Sage College in Troy. She married John Baker in 1944 in Amsterdam. Baker worked as a medical secretary for many years in Yonkers, first for Dr. Valentine Nowicki and later for Dr. Frederick Vom Saal. She retired in 1987 as a medical transcriptionist at St. John’s Riverside H…
